sartorial sunday: everything old is new again

I struck gold yesterday while digging through my closet, looking for a random item; I found a bag of old clothes that I was gathering (with the intent to sell them to a plus size consignment shop in Portland) on the top shelf. Inside were three different colored cropped 3/4-sleeve cardigans that I bought at Old Navy back in 2008. I had long forgotten about these three cardigans and honestly, if someone had brought them up and asked me if I thought I'd still like them, I'd have said no. I decided to give them a second chance anyway and to my surprise, I really do love them.

I haven't played around with a layer at this length in quite some time. The shortest cardigan I have in rotation right now is a couple of inches longer than this. I like that it's not quite a shrug, as I was never a big fan of those, but it's definitely shorter than what I've gotten comfortable with! Yay for new shapes and layers and looks.

Ever since I bought that floral dress a couple of weeks ago, I've been thinking that adding more color back into my wardrobe could be a fun experiment! I love the Supermarket Goth Mom aesthetic, but I feel like my overall femme thing could be softened a little. I'm not hardcore... I'm gooey in the middle, like an eclair.

Thankfully, serendipity stepped in and led me right to some color I already owned! This is a good thing, since I'm not spending my nights rolling around on a bed of money.

I love 3/4 sleeve cardigans! You are so gorgeous- you remind me of my birth mom, and she was super pretty too! :)
