The longer I live, the more people I meet, personal blogs I follow, memoirs & biographies I crack open - the more it strikes me how much each life can differ. The conversations we have, the chores we complete, the hobbies & interests we spend our time engaging in, the music we play in the background, the food we eat, the things hanging on our walls, the issues we're passionate about, the lives we lead... This world is full of so much variety! I want to give people a glimpse into our specific life & how we live it. If I open anyone up to anything or disprove any myths or stereotypes about "people like me", well - that's just gravy on the cake... or something.
After about a year and a half of having this blog be comment-free I've re-opened comments on new posts! Let's dialogue and shit. Tell me things!

"What other people think of me... is none of my business." - RuPaul
My man partner. He reads books about pilots & soldiers & stuff like that, yet hates the modern military mentality. He can quote The Simpsons more accurately than anyone I know. He also deep cleans the bathrooms & vacuums every Saturday morning. It's quite nice to be well-matched in my neat-freak-ness. He loves misanthropy, fancy (and sometimes not-so-fancy) beer, and watching Peep Show, Community, Misfits, 30 Rock, Doctor Who, Party Down, & such. He tumblrs!
about Silas
My smart & hilarious offspring! He can tell you all about building intricate lego contraptions, Doctor Who, and physics-oriented computer games. He is also obsessed with all things feline-related. This kid loves Grimes, Skrillex, Kids & Explosions, The Strokes, and Kimbra. He is also an avid appreciator of snackage. Faves include (but are not limited to): cottage cheese, salami, black grapes, cooked broccoli/carrots, oranges, string cheese, fishy crackers, apples, & yogurt raisins.
